VISITING THE SIGHTS
ON FOOT, BY BIKE OR BOAT
Air quality in Slovenia has significantly improved in recent decades, but the concentration of air pollutants is still too high. Reducing your carbon footprint in transport has a significant impact on the improvement of air quality. Therefore, use your own energy to visit the sights around our town. Walking and cycling reduce your carbon footprint and have a positive effect on health. Let’s act responsibly and green!
WITH A BASKET
TO THE NEAREST FARM
Locally grown food provides consumers with an opportunity to buy fresh and quality food. Due to short distances between growers and consumers, locally grown food is fresh and contains more vitamins and nutrients. By purchasing local products, we reduce environment pollution too, as long transport routes and redundant packaging are not needed, thus protecting natural resources. By buying locally produced food, we support local agriculture and the economy and, consequently, the development of local environment. In our area, the offer of quality, locally produced food is varied, and we can buy it at local farms directly from the producers.
DRINK TAP WATER
By drinking tap water instead of bottled one, we significantly contribute to the reduction of plastic waste and make a more affordable choice. Tap water is a healthier choice than bottled water and a better choice than sweetened and fizzy drinks, as it does not contain added sugars or other harmful additives. A drinking fountain with fresh potable water is located near caravan park.
SEPARATE WASTE
Separate collection of waste is not only a legislative requirement but also our shared responsibility. With proper separation we contribute to more efficient further waste treatment, the conservation of natural sources and energy saving, to the reduction of environment pollution and to the reduction of the amount of deposited waste in landfills.
